First post

It feels interesting writing this first post. I've wanted to start this blog for a while, debating with myself what kind of angle to go for made me procrastinate for a while, and now at last my blog is up and running!
The angle you might ask; it's going be quite an eclectic mix of the magical journey of yoga combined with the great city of New York, food, photography and maybe a little dash of fashion.

I will share with you yoga sequences, breathing techniques, some pearls of wisdom I've gotten from my inspirational teachers and mentors; but first and foremost I will write this blog as a yoga practitioner, sharing with you my journey; through both good days and bad days, cause there are many of them as well (although much less now after I became a dedicated practitioner). I roll out my mat every day no matter how the day is, and more often than not, do I find the stillpoint of the turning world.

Many years ago, not too long after I'd taken my first yoga class at a gym,  I found in a yoga book (of which name I have now forgotten) a fragment of a poem by T.S. Eliot which has been with me since.

At the still point of the turning world. Neither flesh nor fleshless;
Neither from nor towards; at the still point, there the dance is,
But neither arrest nor movement. And do not call it fixity,
Where past and future are gathered. Neither movement from nor towards,
Neither ascent nor decline. Except for the point, the still point,

I am a Norwegian yoga teacher currently living in New York where I am continuing my teacher training.
